On Covering KL Ink

So this is an overdue post. Not that late, just by a week. But here it is. Credits of the photos to Melvin. It was a Friday night, and it was totally not what I saw coming. He brought me to this event in Maison called KL Ink, where gents and ladies with tattoos came together.

We left the soft launch of Quattro in Avenue K around 9ish after a couple of beers, and we were in front of Maison like, just around 10ish. Or earlier. It was too early in fact, that no one was there. The whole club/bar was empty, except from the workers and the event organizers.

Melvin was again, invited to do a coverage of the event. With that being said, of course he knew the organizers. And well, again we got in free.

I didn't know that the highlight of the whole event was at midnight, so I was just hanging around and doing nothing. I don't even know how I could survive not doing anything for 2 whole long hours that night. Or perhaps I was watching at some tattooing process.

There was a corner of the club where some studio set up counters to do live instant tattoo. From what I heard, they said it was unique. Because the tattoo they were doing that night, wasn't of stencils. But the artistes were drawing it by hand. There was of course, customers who took up the challange and made decision for a permenant scar on their body in split seconds.

I, no matter what, would never ever did such a decision. I mean, it's a permenant scar. It's a tattoo! Not that I'm against it or anything, I just never thought I would get myself one. So yeah, in a way, I think those who did it, are pretty brave.

There was also a counter for piercing. Just that, it wasn't normal piercing that I saw that night. People came in to get piercing on other parts of their body other than their ears. And it was piercing through the skin on their wrist and their neck that got me shocked. If anything, those places could be bleeding severely.

Even better, I saw tongue piercing that night... Amazing... really.

Anyways, it was an eye opening event. By midnight, the highlight of the event was finally brought on stage. Peoples with tattoos were invited onto the dance floor, and showed off their tattoos, explaining what was the story behind them, and the coolest tattoo get to have a free tattoo of any size.

So yeah, tattoos were being paraded down the dance floor.

People coming up with tattoo of their surname...

The concept of a past life...

Friendships...

Their principles that the truth hurts...

Of Dark Angel...

God knows what else...

Even in 'sexy' places...

We finally left around 1ish. Crashed at friend's place that night, as I was pretty heavy headed.

But I learnt what piercing on the penis is called. :D

There would be another grander KL Ink, according to the organizer, sometime in December if I'm not mistaken? I did a calculation in my mind then, that the next massive tattoo orgy, would be around the end of my next posting...

Hmmm I'm feeling itchy now... :P

*shrugs* gotta agree it's feels painful just seeing it, yet it is sexy, in a way.

Once a friend actually shared that when he is out of idea on bedroom exercise, he will trace the tattoo of his partner, it's arousing. lol
