Me: It's swollen.
KK: Let me see. Yeah... there's edema alright.
Me: It looks so big. Like an elephantiasis...
KK: Hmm... Let me check. Is it pitting? *pressing on the ankle*
Me: Hey hey! It's painful okay!
KK: No pitting... And it's warm too, damn it's inflammed.
Me: Darn... How long will it heal? A week?
KK: Go see a doctor for God's sake. It takes one week to heal if you go visit a doctor. Otherwise you can barely walk when it's time for Cambodia.
Me: Fine! Ugh, I'll go tomorrow... You shall ride me there.
KK: Go now! By the time you wake up tomorrow, it really would be elephant's leg.
Me: But the clinic's closed!
KK: It's only 430pm! Or go to A&E.
Me: Right... like this is a life-threatening emergency.
KK: It might be. Who knows if it's dislocated? Come I see again.. *touching the ankle*
Me: Ish! Painful okay!?!?! And it's not dislocated. Dislocation means I can barely stand.
KK: Like you could now?
Now, back to the main interest... Which, so SHOULD NOT happen today, but did anyway, I fell down in front of the staircase before going to school today. Sprained the left ankle, and God it's painful. I blame the shoes. Heck I didn't even step on anything uneven, just right after stepping my left foot on the ground and walah, I'm kneeling on the floor with my bag and the water bottle and the helmet flying all over the place. What an embarrasment.
Finally when I reached the lecture hall limping while walking, I swear I would trade being diarrhoea-ic for this. This is such a pain in the ankle! And damnit it's just disturbing everything. I couldn't sit properly, I had to move my arse every 10 minutes to make sure the whole leg doesn't go numb from the compression of the sciatic nerve, thanks to the intention of wanting to make sure the left ankle wouldn't receive anything else that would trigger more pain. God knows, after 2 lectures, I could barely walk. Still, I had to make it out of the lecture hall. Either the hospital or the library. Blardy hell. What's with all those steps. Gosh!
I made it to the library in the end alright. Although KK annoyingly slowed down to accompany me.Thanks dude! Yeap, I was walking so slow that, by the time I reach the library, which on normal occasion, takes just 5 minutes, I spent half an hour limping all the way from the lecture hall to the library.
5 hours later, the left ankle is obviously swollen. I wonder if I could even stand up tomorrow. What should I do what should I do whashudido? Will go get some anti-inflammatory drug from the students' clinic tomorrow. Blergh. This year definitely didn't start off well. Why the heck did so many things happened to me!? Oh BAD things too!
