That Pretty Handwriting

It must've been a while that I hold a pen and write. After form 5, where I've stopped attending language classes, there's just too few opportunity for me to write. No doubt, there's the notes that I pledged to finish up so that I could have something brief and concise to read when exams are drawing near. And most of the time, I would make sure my handwritings are at the very least legible. But the promise I made myself were never really done. 2 chapters and I'm giving up already. *blergh*

Okay, so maybe I don't have pretty handwritings. I'm known to scribble like a mad man when I was in secondary school. When I was in form 4, the English language teacher commented that my handwritings are barely legible. I wrote as if I'm a doctor, she said that for at least 10 times throughout the year. And there's the Malay language tuition teacher who was famous for helping students scoring A1 in SPM. "You have to watch out your handwritings, or else, even with your standard of essays, examiners cannot make out what you're writing. And that would be dangerous." *Blergh* The illegible handwritings.

As I stepped into college, there's no more language classes. *Hurrah* There were maths and chemistry and biology. Yeap, just the 3 science subjects. No more languages! Oh wait, there was the half semester of MUET, preparing us for the December paper. Although I don't find language subjects difficult, I just couldn't bare the thoughts of writting essays. Imagine the topics that we had for our MUET was "Should students be allowed to bring handphones to school?", and that we have to complete an essay in one hour. But with such a crappy mind, I could easily reach 3 full pages in that hour, in the exchange of illegible handwritings. *sniggering*

Anyway... I scored pretty well in the December paper. Wasn't satisfied as I was so close to getting the highest band, so I went for another attempt in the July paper. Hurrah for me then, perhaps my writings were legible enough, I scored quite high in the essay paper. *grins*

So after I entered uni, the chances of writing decreased from few to even lesser. The only time when we get to write were during the 3 days of exams. Subjectives paper that were. And that too didn't include a long 300 words essay. So yea, I found out my writing skills deteriorate even more. And by skills I mean, the ability to produce legible handwritings.

That would be the writings from the PBL session last week. Sometimes I myself barely make out what I wrote. Everytime when there's a exam review, lecturers would warn us about our handwritings. Matric card numbers would be displayed, and stern warnings were given. Lecturers would just give a nice big round zero if they couldn't read our answer scripts. I wonder if I'd be one of them numbers displayed.
