It's the story about keys. And I have no idea why my housemates take keys so lightly.
Normally, I'd go to school with KK on his bike. And knowing him, he doesn't keep his bunch of keys together. Bike's key go alone. House keys don't even know where. So anyway, about the bike's key.
On a random morning...
KK: You need to push the bike, then only I can start.
Me: Where's your key?
KK: I couldn't find it... I have spare though...
Me: Use the spare key then..
KK: It's in my room, need time to search for it.
Me: Blardy hell... It's already 8!!!
KK: Just push from behind, I can start the engine once the bike moves.
Me: Right... if the bike got KO at the traffic light junction I'm so gonna leave you there.
Right. So it turned out he did have the spare keys with him. Thank God! We were still 5 minutes late for the class though. But it's not the first time he misplaced his keys. It's been a few times that we went panic turning the house upside down trying to locate that one piece of metal stuff you insert into the bike to start the engine.
Now, that's one case. In another case, CH doesn't bunched up his keys as well. House keys are left on the dining table after he got home, or sometimes, if he's aware enough, he'd put it inside the drawer of his study desk. Worse still, there's once that, he forgot to pull out his keys from the bike after he parked it at the faculty bike parking bay. 3 hours later, after our lecture, while joyfully about to head home, he couldn't find his key. He had no idea he didn't pull the key out from the bike then. So, upon reaching the parking bay, there's a note from the security guard "CLAIM YOUR KEY FROM THE SECURITY OFFICE." And 50 bucks were burnt just because of his carelessness.
So.. apart from CH and KK, YL wasn't anywhere better. And I suppose KW as well. The house keys that we duplicated when we first moved in, they say they've lost theirs. Blardy hell. It wasn't cheap duplicating those bunch of keys mind you! Especially with that heavy duty lock that we had for our gate outside the front door, that one key alone cost about 4 bucks. If I don't remember wrongly. And they have the nerves to tell me that, we might need to duplicate more copies as they couldn't find theirs. Serve them right I'd say.
As far as I remembered, they never did put their keys in one fixed place. On top of the table or a basket, for instance. Okay, so maybe there's the table. Dining table that is. With all those cans of biscuits, and bills, and news paper, plus pamphlets as well as books, it's a wonder the keys would still be there. There's once when YL returned CH his keys, it was found at YL's sister's place in Ampang. All confused? Yeah, I am too. *sniggering*
Okay, so, the hilarious part was this weekend when I was out lost somewhere along the highway to Batu Caves. Yeaps, I was refering to that weekend with that Charades game. While the game just started at around 10p.m., I received a call from KW's girlfriend.
SG: Bong, where are you? Are you going to come back anytime soon?
Me: Huh? I'm quite far from home, somewhere in Kepong, I think... Not sure when I'll be back.. Why?
SG: Your fellow housemates don't have the keys to enter the house.
Me: WTH?? How come they don't bring their keys out? Where's IS?
SG: We went dinner, they didn't bring the keys. When we got back, IS is already out with her sis.
Me: Blardy hell... is IS going to be back soon?
SG: Not sure...
Me: Ish.. don't care, let them stay at your place la. I'll be home after midnight I suppose...
SG: Oh okay... yea.. sure...
Laugh away. I know I did had a good laugh after that call.
So much so for the med students. Or I suppose it's the traits of them to take keys lightly. *sniggering* Oh well, I do bunched up all my keys. Even if there's only 3 keys we're using for the doors, the whole bunch cling-clang-ed loudly for the other keys I have no idea where from. At least I won't find my keys lost somewhere under the laundry. *grins*
And yeaps, that photo of the keys above is mine.
