That Bowel Movement Chat

So there's this Pharmacology lecture. It's a 9a.m. lecture. And I'm so damn sleepy even with chicken essence and 2 tablets of EnervonC, I couldn't keep my eyes open. Earlier on during the Parasitology lecture I was already swaying and KK sitting beside me kept on nudging me. Right. I didn't lean myself down onto the chair, perhaps that's why I was snoring before *sniggering*. I just sat straight and shut my eyes. Little did I know, and only after KK told me that, I was swaying from side to side. People sitting behind me would really laugh their arses off already.

So when it came to the 9a.m. lecture, I told KK this, "I've slept enough, I shall not sleep again..." What a boast to say of me, I know, I'm just an avid sleeper... So KK was like "We'll see, we'll see..."

Halfway through the lecture, I find my eyes closing again. *urgh* I could barely stay awake. The lecture was on opioids and its analogues. And there's the part where we were taught on anti-diarrhoea drugs. The lecturer was asking us, what drugs have we taken before, since diarrhoea is just so common here. And I thought, charcoal! *grins* KK told me he took that horrible drug before, so it's all I could remember of... There were someone who came up with Lomotil or whatever drugs there are... Gosh I sooooo need to do my revision. And the lecture continued.

Anyway, KK and I kept on chatting and we drifted to my habit of not doing my defecation everyday. Well, it's true that I don't defecate everyday, sometimes I wonder if I'm constipated as well!

KK: It's no healthy to refrain from defecation you know.
Me: I don't... I just don't have any stools to pass out...
KK: It's one of the common reasons for colonic cancer.
Me: Gasps! I know.. but then, if there's no stool there, there's no urge to defecate...
KK: Hmmm... how odd that you don't have stools...
ME: I take 2 meals per day maybe? Sometimes just one. Or that I don't take fibres....
KK: Still, not all your food are digested, even if they are, there'd still be stool...
Me: Then what? I just go and strain myself to defecate? That would cause hemorrhoids...

KK: Better still, think rectum prolapse!
Me: Blardy hell...

A while later...

Me: Oh gosh... colon cancer...
KK: Huh?
Me: Maybe it's why I die by the tender age of 40...
KK: You and your dream. ugh...

Thing is, the more I eat, the more tendencies of me needing to go to the loo. Logically speaking, it's just so true. But I, of all human beings, find toilet business... troublesome. *sniggering* Pardon me but, I wonder if there's any way I could cut down on the 'waste product', meaning cutting down on the 'going in', without having any malabsorption. *grins* Stupid me, I know.

KK: But then again, it's good to fast.
Me: What?
KK: You... fasting... It's healthy no doubt.
Me: Really?
KK: Sidhhartha Gautama fasted. The Muslims fast. So it's good.
Me: Hah hah. Right.

Turns out I stayed awake till the end of the Pharmacology lecture. But nothing learnt or remembered. I never get anything out of lectures... *blergh*

By the way, we were just kidding about the hemorrhoids and rectal prolapse thingy. Incidence amongst young adults are relatively rare if not none. *sniggering*

You've never used any anti-diarrhoea before?

You said you don't get anything from lectures, then why even bother to attend? Hahaha!!!

I wouldn't dare to consult you if you're a doctor in future. Why? Cos you didn't study, don't know your stuff as a doctor lor. Wakakakaka!!! So dangerous!

Eh! Seriously, if you wanna be a good and dedicated doctor, be serious in your studies. Pay 100% attention in lectures, make notes, ask if you don't understand and revise.

Your parents pay so much you know?

Calvin, the parents don't pay all that much :P Heavily subsidised, believe me. The taxpayers do though.
