There's a line of movies at the cinema lately with the theme of monsters or aliens or evil beings with distorted face or ghosts and stuff. As much as we love watching movies, watching movies in cinema is a whole different thing altogether. We are pretty picky about the movies we watch in the cinema. No Bollywood or Chollywood (Chinese) movies alright. No Korean or Japanese cheap horror for sure. And Hollywood movies, at the very least not something budget, because budget movies really really are even cheaper than the cheap horrors from the east. Amzingly, we had been supporting the government's campaign of anti-piracy. Sort of. *sniggering*
So, let's see, we watched AVP2 with Lex two weeks ago, have yet to watch Cloverfield alright. But comments around the blogosphere had it that you either love the headless Satute of Liberty or you hated it. Of course, with ghosts themed movie from Thailand that is, we have the House rated above 18 right? But housemates came back complaining it's pretty much like Unrest. My God! What a standard for being a Thai horror! Anyway, we'll just wait for the upcoming movies. We want Elizabeth! We want, we want, we want! (My God! since when I'm having the split personality Janviers have?!)
Okay, okay, well, I wanted to write about Saw IV I watched halfway at Nyonya's house. But well, the gross and disgusting scenes just sorta had to be stopped because we had tickets for Sweeny Todd already then. It was a full packed cinema, considering it's not showing at GSC yet. But yea, Cineleisure is pretty comfy although the range of movies to choose from is less from that in GSC OneUtama or Mid Valley. The barber movie is morbid alright, all the monsters with pale faces and cruel hands slitting necks and serving human meat pies. But I fell asleep a few times and needed the Nyonya to nudge me up. *LOL* No it's not boring, I just fall asleep because it was way past midnight, and yea, it's a Tim Burton's movie, so, conversations are sang and not spoken.
Me: Look! There's something there!
AL: What is it?
Me: Some mascot or something... Murni has a mascot??
BN: That thing better don't come close to me, or I'll die!
CT: It's the Mr Potato thing lar... And I thought who's got the nerve to wear a hat like that...
BN: That thing better don't come close to me... I'll die you know!
Of course, being the fresh peep in the group, I was pretty amazed how a mascot could scare the hell out of a guy!
Me: It's not like if that thing touch you you'll die or what right?
BN: Of course not, but people within a certain range will die for sure. You want to try?
Me: My God...
BN: Hah, scared is it?
Of course not! But well, considering how 'queen' he is, I didn't joke further. Reason being, the mascot will approach our table anyhow! *sniggering* And when finally Mr. Potato reached our table and gave us some free ang paw packets, that peep just stared ahead blankly and froze. *LMAO*
Oh. My. God.
*LMAO*
Chinese New Year comes early! :P
7 Jujus:
