Event of the Year: Turning of 07/08

Bibik said it'll definitely be the event of the year. Lame... so lame... *LMAO* Joking joking, don't get mad! *Double LMAO* So now you know how I spent my countdown, and who did I spent it with.

It wasn't exactly a countdown alright, we didn't get any of those sprays, and we didn't stand in the middle of the road. There're new friends, Ct and this other fella (sorry, I didn't really got your name >.< ). Basically, it was just standing at the curb in front of Ikano, and waited for the fireworks. Blimey, a whole long 15 minutes, my hand was already numb bah... Too bad I didn't have my tripod with me, or the whole fireworks pics would be gorgeous... Hmmmph.

The peeps wanted to go for another round of supper after a dinner in Genki at 7pm and light after-National-Treasure-snack around 11pm before midnight. Initial plan was to take Ct's car as she said she'll need to send the two guys back to Damansara after supper, and I just followed suit. I'll be sent back to get my car anyway. But as we were walking to Ct's car, I got tired and decided to drag Bibik with me to drive our own, and meet up the other two at SS2 instead. Crowds are killing me, not exactly the crowd, it's the smell of the snow spray really. And considering Ct parked her car in The Curve, I really wished to drive my own.

And here comes the series of funny events. As Bibik and I were in the car jamming out of the parking lot, I was wondering if Ct has already gotten her way onto LDP. We reached SS2 about half an hour later.

Me: They might still be trapped in the jam.
Bibik: They're still in the parking... OMG

30 minutes later...

Me: I can finish this drink and sleep and have everything digested, only then they'll be here...
Bibik: They're in fron of McDonalds now... OMG

30 minutes later...
Me: Are they here yet? I dreamt of myself becoming a millionaire...
Bibik: They're suggesting we go meet up opposite my apartment. Ooo blimey look, they're actually still in front of McDonalds...

30 minutes later..

Me: I feel like eating maggi goreng...
Bibik: Order lah...

And we were at a supper place when the last conversation took place, were with the other new friend Umr, in Damansara a bit down the road from The Curve already then...
There you go. 3 hours... How on earth can a 3 hours jam happened in front of Tesco?! And you could hear Bibik and the and Ummrr laughing themselves out, comparing the 3 hour jam between KL-Seremban and the 3 hour jam between McDonalds-Tesco, Damansara.

Seriously! I'm not kidding you. The other two were literally NOT MOVING. And considering it also leads to the LDP highway, I really was grateful we drove our own out of Ikano. Or seriously, I would've slept in Ct's car already... *LMAO*

I didn't wait for the two to get out of the jam though. By 0315 I was beaten. I couldn't stay awake any longer, my eyes were sore, my limbs were numb, my head was spinning and my tummy was uncomfortable. I finally asked the permission to leave. LDP seriously wasn't THAT jammed. God knows what happened on the road in front of McDonalds. *Triple LMAO*

Poor Ct... *Quadriple LMAO*

It was a good turn-over alright. Such a memorable event of the year. Happy New Year everyone!
Don't ask my what is it about me and fireworks, I have 63 fireworks pictures to choose from okeh! *LOL*

Wow, great post. At least it was better than the celebration here in Kursk, my friends (minus me) went to the town square, about 15 minutes walk away from the hostel, in the freezing cold (it was -10 degrees last night). Then they waited and waited... and nothing- no fireworks. Turns out they announced that fireworks were banned in Russia on the 30th December... so no fireworks display at all...

When they arrived back, faces red from the biting cold, most were cursing for being fooled into going.

But anyway, Happy New Year!
