Re-Bonding

Family and I planned to drive down to Malacca for the next two days before they go home and resume their normal working lives. We thought it might be the last time for us to go travelling together as a family. But somehow, while at Genting last weekend, Dad thought it would perhaps be better that they just stay in KL. I guess he was right. He texted me around 10 this morning asking if I was free to drive them around. From Sis's text message last night after Italiannies, I thought they would still be disappointed in me. What can I say, family are always together as one, innit?

Anyway, I picked them up around 11 and had a heavy brunch. We drove to the National Museum, just wondering if it's by any chance open today. As predicted, with Raya Haji today, we then headed to Butterfly Park. Again. *LMAO* Sis and I went to that area a while ago after my finals, didn't know Dad would want to go there again since I... casted the adava. *Double LMAO*
To our surprise, being Malaysian, we only paid 30% of the entrance fee of 5 bucks per person. And walah, we were cam-whoring all the way. 2 digital cameras and 3 Gb of memory. I've never seen Dad as happy as today. Mum and Sis were equally jolly as well. Lil Bro kept on complaining Dad took the camera and didn't let him satisfy his hunger for photography like myself. But then again, Dad had a purpose of visiting the park, since he was suggesting a mini butterfly farm at his workplace. As Lil Bro mumbled "I'll get a digital camera for my own when I go college", Mum said that Lil Bro wanted to have everything I've got (digital camera, lappie, handphone...) for the hundredth time. Wooot, I'm a role model! *Triple LMAO*
Okay so there were lots of flowers. Butterflies were hard to capture. But I did manage to get some pretty nice ones. I haven't get my hands on the piccies in Dad's camera though. There are gazillions of family photos with all 5 of us, since I've brought my tripod along. Yeap yeap, cam-whores we all were. *Quadriple LMAO*
As it started to rain after we hanged around for nearly one hour, we rushed back into the erm... office block to see all the preserved insects. We spent quite a while inside, waiting for the rain to pass. That's when the whole ice-y conflicts started to melt. I love my family for, whenever there's someone steering away and crumbling, the entire unit would stand together and pull him up. *touched... sob sob* Re-bond-ing, that's what I'll call it. When we finally came to terms that they'll come over to my place to celebrate "Dong Zhi" this Saturday, we decided to make a move. And by "Dong Zhi", it means we'll get to play with flour and roll lots of balls and cook and eat. *LOL*

Bird Park costs 12 bucks per person, we thought it's too dear. And since Orchid Garden is just opposite Bird Park, yup, you can expect gazillion MORE cam-whoring. Seriously, I have NEVER seen my parents so sporty when it comes to photo-taking. Yea, tripod plays a role, but still, we practically take photos everywhere! What's more, Dad even came up with all the funny actions and asked us to join in! So, yea, there are more than a lot of photos with 5 of us posing different actions in Dad's camera. We posed at every corner we thought would look nice, and all the foreign tourists were looking at us as if we're Martians. Mum said those tourists were looking at us with piling jealousy. *double LMAO* Both Mum and Dad love the garden. They said it's so serene and beautiful. I'm glad they do too.
After that, we drove over to the National Monument. The last time Sis and I went there, we took 2 freaking hours to reach that place, and that's also with us driving up to the Parliament to make a U-turn. Amazingly, I found my way through today! *LOL* I've seen a pic of Mum and Dad at the Monument in our photo album back at home. It must've been eons ago since they were there. Lil Bro came up with this funny idea of a pose, whereby he'll try to have an action of picking up one of the guys at the monument, while taking the photo. It was hilarious really. Dad joined in the fun, but not on one of the guys, instead, I made him pick up Hilton KL at KL Central. *laugh laugh laugh* But nah, am not going to upload that, it's such a disrespect for the dead! *sniggering* We had such a fun time there, laughing our arses off and not caring what the other tourists were thinking about.
Finally, when we saw the sky turning darker and darker, we left. Everyone was tired. Mum said it's definitely more than worth it for their hols here. I believe it's the climax of their entire holiday over here as well. *sniggering* But the trip wasn't done. Despite raining quite heavily, I drove them all the way to Titiwangsa. The Eye of Malaysia... Sis was given 4 free tickets from her housemate a while ago, so we only need to buy one more ticket. Of course, by the time we reached there, it was still raining. We stayed in the car and started planning for tomorrow. As it was approaching 5, and the rain started to stop, we went up to the Eye. First circle was nerve-wrecking. We were screaming like mad kids inside the gondola as ours reached the peak. And then there's the second circle. And Dad were mocking how Mum was screaming in the cable car on our way up to Genting last weekend. As we were approaching the ground, Dad said there must be a third circle, and guess what, we DID have our third! *LOL* I always thought there's only 2 circle for 15 minutes. I mean, I heard somewhere, there's only 2 circle. But the third led to the fourth and fifth. Of course, by the third circle, the phobia of height seemingly went off, and we were already wishing for more. *LMAO*
I asked that we stay longer. Perhaps we could catch the Laser Dance they're putting up. So we had our light dinner at a cafe nearby. But then again, Lil Bro was totally worn out. He complaint of stomach ache from the cold drink. And since Mum and Dad are both pretty tired, we agreed to go home and rest earlier.

It was a long day. But it was indeed a great day... Hopefully the high-spirits will last till the last day they're here.
