Come let's play!
Something happened in lecture today. It just sort of got to my attention how we could be ignorant sometimes. Or at times, we thought we would be overreacting if we decided not to be ignorant.
We were having Pharmacoogy lecture on Principles of Antimicrobials Chemotherapy today. The door of the lecture hall wasn't closed. It was pretty much of a annoyance, but somehow, as the lecture progressed, everyone seemed to be engrossed in it (except from those who decided to go to sleep once the lecturer said she'll give a hard copy to our class rep, LOL.), including myself. I told you, I've decided to turn over a new leaf and start to pay attention in class from now on. :P
Anyway, as we were towards the end of the lecture, the fire alarm went off. "RinggGGGGGG!!!'' The lecturer and everyone were somehow taken aback, and she tried to continue her lecture. Somehow, "are we supposed to leave or we can just stay here and finish this off?", looking at us perplexed. Darn it was funny how everyone just said "continue continue.." So Prof Pharmaco just continued her lecture, but a while later, she walked out of the lecture hall. The fire alarm was still on. She came back a while later and tried to get back to her lecture. "It's probably nothing" she said. But 10 seconds later, she stopped again. "Do you see any fires around? Or maybe smelled any flames?" "No no no" the class replied, "just finish the damn lecture already!" (okay I made this one up >.<) So, Prof Pharmaco decided to continue. Before she even finished her sentence, she went out again and came back in a while later, confirmed that "it's was just some technical problem." But somehow, it appeared that the fire alarm just disrupted the whole lecture which started out pretty impressively. Prof Pharmaco decided to leave the last factor in selecting an antimicrobials for tomorrow.
Anyway, my point was, it just seemed to us somehow that, fire alarm going off wasn't a big deal. It seemed that, in places like a school, or a hospital, or even lab, when the fire alarm went off like that, we would just curse and curse and cover our ears complaining how we would go deaf. Instead of rushing out to an open field and watch the building being licked off by flames, we just plainly ignore the possibility there might even be a real fire. So hey, what's the big deal the fire alarm went off anyway? It's probably just the technician testing the bell. Or parhaps the wire gone haywired. So, don't care about it LAH. It's not like it's going to happen all the time, SMK KT No.1 was a different case, those kids are immature and curious, wondering what would happened to the lab building if a fire bomb was thrown into the classroom upstairs... Unless someone in the faculty decided to play wacko at some point in time before the finals, I guess there probably won't be a chance you guys can read in the news paper about UM Medical Centre or Faculty of Meds being consumed by the Fire God. LOL

Great banner. Classy.
Fire in UM Medic Fac? Unless one of the profs spontaneously combust.
thanks will...
i don't think profs will go combust, it's not the science lab, we don't deal with lots of fires here... but i'd like to see the possibilities of any med students go insane and started shooting... i'd definitely go up and be a hero so i can stay at the hospital... wahahaha.... (they serve really delicious food at the ward as i see it... ehhehe)
I know all about that problem in our medic fac. If the amount of classes I have sat in with the fire alarm blaring is taken into account for real, I would have been dead several times by now.
yo benver... i think so far i've only been dead twice. hahah
