Disturbia... and a little sidetracks

It's not really erm... my nature to skip lecture. But apparently, I did. I skipped a DPHS lecture and a Parasitology lecture yesterday. I was planning to do so today as well, but since it's Tuberculosis, and having been told it's pretty improtant, I did somehow managed to console myself to drag my arse to lecture. But the point here is not about dragging my arse to lecture, it's about skipping class. I never thought it would be that fun really. What's more, I got to have so much time at home I think it's the first time in 7 weeks I'm actually studying. I didn't do much, but at least I managed to cover Pharmacology until where we were taught. So, now, I've got to catch up on Pathology. It's damn hard reading mama Robbins, but I guess it's what it takes to at least graduate. Somehow, it just got me thinking how nice it would be to be grounded at home. Like how the dude in "Disturbia" was.

Now, seriuosly, if I were him, I would rather spend my time catching up with all my studies. I have housemates telling me up till where we were taught, and I suppose all I really need now is TIME. I need 26 hours a day, no, I need 30 hours a day. I just need time to memorize all the bugs in Medical Microbiology and Parasitology. I could just asked a favor from my sis or my housemates to get me sufficient tangerine, instant noodles, and perhaps hotdogs. Yea, I mean HOT-DOGS. I just lurveeee hotdogs. Those juice, those yummy taste of chewing the meat, and the taste... UMPH!!!! The last time I boil my hotdog was in May, when I was home alone as well. That time, I hadn't really gotten hold of the free wireless, so, I somewhat bored myself to death with practically nothing. But if I could have those 3 weeks of plain nothing to do NOW, you can bet I really would be the most kiasu person you could ever seen.

I pledged to be kiasu. But somehow, you know me.. I'm erm... "chicken shit heat" only LAH.

About "Disturbia", I actually went to OneU last night. Yes, on a weekdays. Scream at me when I was actually saying I need more time but I wasted 5 hours at the mall, crusing hot sexy muscular MEN in office wear and watching pretty GIRLS from Celebrity Fitness. I ate at Nando, and complaint how cold it was in cinema 4. Hearts pounding fast as if it was going to explode when the disturbia dude stupidly go kepoh about his neighbour. But I gotta say it's quite a movie. I didn't expected much after I read Nut's review about it "... Found the storyline a bit dry, predictable and typical of Hollywood attempts at horror, and the acting a little stiff, but Shia LeBeouf was, as usual, pretty hot...". Gay men, what can ya expect?

But it turned out to me that, even if I were gay, that guy is just so not my taste, he's dorky! Though adventurous, he's plain STUPID. But on the other hand, the girl is pretty PRETTY. Loved the way she portrayed the character. Casual and oooh, that line of hers "...that is either the freakiest thing I ever heard, or the sweetest..." And she leaned over to kiss the dork. HAHAHA. But mind you, the movie is NOT a HORROR movie, there's a different between THRILLER and HORROR. THRILLER comes with everything logical, HORROR is those stupid imaginery white-faced kiddy ghost story like your favourite Ju-ON, which obviously, is just not what I ever wanted to watch. And yea, both Alex and I just came to an agreement it's worth the 7 bucks we spent. Thriller-0-meter: 10/10. LOL

The twist here and there somewhat made you feel like. screaming.. SHIT! You knew all along it would be the neighbour Mr Turner, but the way they twist it, the neighbour is just so damn good in covering everything. The deer, the brunette bar girl, and even the Korean friend. Shit, it freaked both of us when the screen showed this twisted neck of Korean nerd in a closet, seemed so real that I thought the story would end like the dork is actually having some double-personality like the ones in "23", and all the murder were actually committed by himself. But somehow, like I said, the twist they do, is just like how Alex put it. "This is the difference between English and Cantonese movie. Simple story they can freak you like what already..." And personally, being "westernized", I totally agree. LOL

Maybe I'm just not suitable becoming a movie critic. Basically all the movies I watched I'd be saying it's ok, so-so, quite good, extremely good, and if a movie turned out to suck big time from me, then that particular movie is a junk. So far, I can name you some I personally think are thrash: The Last Samurai (never made it to the end, Tom Cruise just dozed me off...), Alexander (Collin Ferrall is so boring...), The Good Girl (Jennifer Aniston in a low-cost film... no wonder it's LOW cost), Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (pardon me Oscar winner, I never made it to the end as well)...

Okay, I think I should just stop here. First attempt to comment on a movie turns out to be erm.... shallow and biased. HAHA

LOL. Oh, that hotdog bit is just too full of allegories. In May, you say?

erm... yea...
allegories? what does tat mean? haha

Well - when you boil a sausage (a hotdog is the sausage in a bun), it swells up till it's bulging against the skin, then it get's redder and redder the longer you boil it, you boil it long enough and the stuffing might just explode out of the sausage.

Last time you boiled yours was in May when you were home alone and had practically nothing to do.

Maybe what we're saying here are more towards innuendo than allegories... :D
