Sequalee of a d...o...w...n...

Right. Today's the 2nd day of the week. And this System of a d...o...w...n... of mine still persists.

So I'm going to come really clean today. I've been bugged a lot with who I wanted to take as my buddy. I've mentioned about the boy who were claimed to look like me but turned out to be another ordinary guy who failed to copy my signature eyebrow - Anthony. Yeo was saying he'll be taking him as his buddy. Bah. So he wanted to take my "little brother" as his buddy to continue his legacy of being the top 10 handsome-est guys of the batch as Anthony is ranked 2nd in his batch. That leaves Morris - a DOTA geek whom I barely know (okay so I barely know everyone from Sarawak this year... but at least I talked to Anthony before).

I've decided to leave the decision to my final year buddy. And he messaged me last night who interested him.

"I wish to take BAH BAH BU or BI BA BAU or BU BU BON as buddy.. U let me know if any line also wants thrm. I need 2hav d super senior name so i can discuss wit them... if got any suggestion let me know latest by friday evening".

That was his first text message. I replied him after asking the "head" of my batch. He came from Penang apparently, and the 1st 2 juniors are both from Penang. It's supposed to be easier for us this year, since there's only 68 of us in my batch, and there are 74 this year. Supposingly, it wouldn't be that hard to get everyone incorporated into the buddy line system. But apparently, I have to say it is.

Sarawakians are pretty bad this year. The final years from Sarawak have been receiving complaints from seniors of the other states. So we were given permission to be maglinent when it's our turn tomorrow. And I guess I already know what a fierce a person I would be, from what my family members were telling me before. I could be really annoying and irritating. And I've already planned how to really make those juniors hate me till their bones. LOL.

"BAH BAH BU is my 1st choice.. u discuss n c whether they can change... ask them who wants him, final year or 2nd year... if final yr i discuss wit my batchmate."

"I duscussed wt my batchmate already. we agree to draw lots. u tell ur batchmate frm his line abt tis. if gt any other ppl which supersenior is from penang wish 2 hav same buddy then let me know.. draw lots on thurs.. u 2 settle it. make sure it's fair. no compromise. depend on u."

Those were the 2 text messages that really intimidated me. So I was suppose to help him take this BAH BAH BU from Penang, who apparently is a hot persuit. And I didn't want this whole thing about choosing who to be our buddies to interfere with the relationship of me and my batchmates. Rumors had it that the 3rd years have had some conflicts two years ago. It was pretty troubling now that BAH BAH BU is somehow "confirmed" taken into this other line.

I'm sure not many would understand what I'm writing about today. This whole buddy line system is the tradition of med school in Uni. Malaya apparently. Every year, the new students coming in will undergo some really intimidating orientation that would finally leads to the ceremony when who'll be accepted into which buddy lines. Obviously, there would be some "pure lines" which means everyone in the line has one thing in common. It could be the school, or the state or even where their hometown is. So there are 3 "pure lines" from Sarawak, which I'm not of (and that's why I can't take Anthony, Yeo's in one, he's erm... superior in who he wants); then there are a few others where there would be students from their school coming in every year: Chung Ling (Penang), Sam Tet (Perak), Melaka High School, Jit Sin (Penang), Keat Hwa (Kedah)... Apparently, their juniors would be of their possessions. The whole thing about this buddy line system is to guide the juniors. As 2nd years, we will brief the 1st years on their studies; just like how my direct buddy above me did for me. The same goes to my direct buddy and the one above her, and my final year's buddy will be helping out with the one in 4th year this year. Of course, some particular lines would have some "buddy line treasure" such as bones for Anatomy, books and notes being passed down the line and all.

Now, with that cleared, I don't think I still can get you to understand what a dilema I'm in at this moment. Not to forget all the other problems I'm facing... my aching body due to accumulation of lactic acid, my phone, my money, and most importantly, I feel like I'm missing out a lot in my studies...

*sob sob*

well... every lines have their own headache... pure lines there might be, but sometimes, there might be someone fighting over jrs as well... i remembered last time i had the same problem as well. too few juniors, too many seniors. ended up a catfight. i'd suggest you try to discuss with your final years, save the "war". you still have another 4 yrs to go with ur batchmates... wouldn't be nice it all turn ugly now would it?
