Cheerio on a Rainy Hot Afternoon...

I just found out today, I mean, for 10 minutes ago that I actually have someone who logs in everyday to check on my life. So much of being a new blogger (erm, I'm trying to think I AM one), I never knew it'll be such a joy having someone telling you "you have changed my life". I don't want to think it's just some old fag trying to hit on you (sorry 'bout that, Ted), but I'd rather think of it the way he told me. :-D

Well, it's not exactly raining anymore at this moment. While I'm asking myself not to spend too much time on the net and watch over Millenium Court and that inviting KFC down the PJ flyover, I think I must've been online for an hour already. It was raining when I came out of labs around 3.45pm. just now. I was waiting for KK at the library while trying to swallow down today's lecture on Malaria and Plasmodium. But somehow, the view outside of the library brought back the memory how I actually spent hours and hours trying to understand Physiology and Anatomy last year.

Somehow, speaking about Physiology and Anatomy, coincidently today was the day the result slip was out. I had to snap some photos of those anticipating batchmates while we were waiting to get our result slip for last year's exam. Mine's not exactly impressive. Obviously I'm not a viva voce candidate, but I did manage to enter 2nd year. I was not extremely unhappy with my grade, I was hopping for more, but I guess I was pretty disappointed. Perhaps it's just myself not a material carved out to walk down this lane. I'm just believing I always am all this while. Anyhow, I'm making myself believe that by the time I graduate, I'll be at least happy with my basic salary.

Today's lab was where we start to fool around with all the stains and culture. I mean culture for bugs, as how Prof Sham called the bacteria. Honestly, the culture dish were pretty cute, and they smell something like mix between the bakery and the good ol' corn jelly. We were exposed to all the different types of materials for culture: blood enriched stuff and one particularly just choked KW was the burnt blood agar. LOL. Apart from the exposure, we were also dealing with some stains. I mean LOTS of stains. Basically, we had to do some bacteria to find out their microscopic morphology: gram positive or gram negative, rod shapped or cocci, clusters or chains... And it's the first time I tried out the 100x oil immersion lens. Prof J, who was in the lecture with us for the Medical Microbiology a while ago, came in to replace Prof Sham at the later part of labs, and she was saying I find that some of you have successfully stain your fingers. Amazingly, my hand is as clean as can be, at least they ARE when seen under gross eyes. Tee Hee...

If you may already wonder why the heck I have so many photos today. I was just being naughty. Lecture today was really cool. And I have some to show you what it was like in lecture everyday.

Photo #1: How the entire row goes missing..

Photo #2: How 2 lovely housemates just dozed off ( I TOLD YOU I don't sleep in lectures! LOL Or else I wouldn't be taking their photos! )

Photo #3: How free we are to have time for The Star.

Photo #4: How the rest of the class wasn't paying the slightest bit of attention to the lecturer.

Facts? Nah, we were having a half an hour break. I was planning to take a short nap myself. But somehow, we were interupted with http://www.lariankardio.blogspot.com/. So anyone who are interested, do not hesitate to contact the person in charge. Definitely not myself. But you might catch me as a volunteer at the health screening. At least I'm still thinking about going as a volunteer. It will be a holiday LAH! Many coursemates will be going back to their kampung then.

By the way, it started to rain again... :-)
